Expungement of Criminal Convictions
Those who have been charged or convicted of a crime know the challenges criminal records present. A criminal past oftentimes creates barriers to entrepreneurial opportunities and desired employment. Clark Quinn’s expungement law attorneys devote a significant portion of their professional practice to helping individuals break down those barriers through the expungement process.
Known as Indiana’s Second Chance Law, an expunged or sealed record allows eligible individuals to start their next chapter in life with a clean slate. While criminal records are not destroyed, public access to sealed criminal records is restricted. Certain convictions cannot be sealed but can be marked as expunged. The Second Chance Law prevents a conviction that has been judicially determined to be expunged from being used to discriminate against a person based on that expunged conviction.
