John M. Mead

John’s practice focuses on civil litigation and appeals as well and business and real estate transactions. Over the years, John has represented a number of family-owned businesses in diverse areas such as construction, real estate investment and development, manufacturing, and warehousing.

John graduated from the Indiana University School of Law – Indianapolis in 1993. He graduated with high honors from the University of Tennessee in 1989 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Communications.

John is an avid runner, cyclist, and hiker. After returning from Nepal in 2015 when it experienced a devastating earthquake, he joined with others to raise money to rebuild schools and medical facilities in remote areas of the Himalayan region. He has biked across Indiana in the annual one-day RAIN event 11 times and had the privilege of standing on the flight deck of the U.S.S. Theodore Roosevelt during night-time flight operations as a representative of the American Red Cross.

John currently serves on the boards of the Economic Club of Indiana, the Greater Indianapolis Chapter of the American Red Cross, and Freewheelin’ Community Bikes, a youth development organization dedicated to connecting youth with skills for life over a shared passion for the bicycle.

John is admitted to the state and federal courts in Indiana and the Seventh Circuit Court of Appeals. He recently retired his license in Tennessee. He is a member of the Indianapolis and Indiana State Bar Associations.
