Olivia A. Hess

Olivia’s practice focuses primarily on estate planning and probate, business and commercial services, and other transactional work. Olivia enjoys assisting her clients with drafting wills and trusts, probate and trust administration, guardian-ships, business formation, corporate governance and general counsel, mergers and acquisitions, and real estate transactional work.

During law school, Olivia served as the Firm’s law clerk, where she gained expe-rience conducting legal research and drafting various legal documents, such as motions, briefs, and estate planning documents. Prior to joining Clark Quinn, Olivia served as an extern at the Indiana Supreme Court in the chambers of the Honorable Justice Steven H. David. Olivia also spent two years volunteering for the Wrongful Conviction Clinic at Indiana University Robert H. McKinney School of Law.

Olivia graduated from Indiana University-Purdue University Indianapolis with a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and minors in Criminal Justice and Latino Stud-ies. As an undergraduate, Olivia was a Program Ambassador for the Latino Stud-ies Program and participated in IUPUI’s Women’s Mentorship Program. Thereaf-ter, Olivia graduated first in her class from Indiana University Robert H. McKin-ney School of Law. Upon graduating, Olivia was named Indiana University Rob-ert H. McKinney School of Law’s 2020 Chancellor’s Scholar based on outstand-ing academic achievement. While in law school, Olivia served as the Editor-in-Chief of the Indiana International & Comparative Law Review, Vol. XXX. Olivia’s Student Note, “Ready to Bridge the Disconnect: Implementing England and Wales’ Coercive Control Model for Criminalizing Domestic Abuse in the United States,” won the Best Student Note Award and was published in the Indi-ana International & Comparative Law Review, Vol. XXX. Additionally, Olivia was a Dean’s Tutorial Society Fellow and served as a student member for the In-dianapolis American Inn of Court.

Olivia is admitted to practice law in the State of Indiana, the United States District Court for the Southern District of Indiana as well as the United States District Court for the Northern District of Indiana.

Olivia is on the Board of Directors of a local nonprofit organization that provides services to victims of domestic violence in Central Indiana. Additionally, Olivia has an interest in legal activism regarding the enactment of more efficacious and protective domestic violence legislation. In her spare time, Olivia enjoys reading, tutoring, and spending time with her husband and dogs.
